Geordie Saw started in a very practical way — on our farm in Northumberland.

While doing some hedge coppicing, we brought in a local forester to help with the work. He recommended a particular chainsaw model he trusted. The original version is no longer made, but a company called Holzfforma now produces a high-quality version that forestry and smallholding workers rely on.

When we looked into it, we realised these saws were surprisingly hard to get in the UK. Most people had to order directly from China, dealing with long shipping times and uncertainty. We decided to change that.

Geordie Saw now imports selected Holzfforma chainsaws and makes them easily available across the UK.

We’re not a large warehouse. Our background is farming and rural work, so we understand the jobs people need a chainsaw for — cutting firewood, clearing fallen trees, hedge work, and general smallholding tasks.
